A powerful diagnostic tool is the “output of all data” ctrl+Y command here at the bottom of the diagnostic screen.

The command begins by asking if I want to create the data file. If I select yes, GPS will create an output file containing the entire model for the current simulation; the process may take a few moments, but when it is comeplete, you will see a message that tells you that the file has been created in the GPS 1.0 directory. I then select OK to close the command. If I navigate to the File Explorer for the GPS 1.0 directory, I will see the file named here with the my data and the date and time at which it was created. The file will contain approximately 1 MB of data. You open the file, and we see a number of worksheets that are available to us containing all of the data related. To the calf, for the entire 122 days simulation as well as the liquid intake, grain intake, forage intake, dry feed intake, and total dry matter intake, all of the variables that are created within GPS are output here for your use and evaluation. Well, that will do it for this video. Feel free to visit other parts of the GPS knowledge base to learn more about using the program.
